Participants devote a minimum of five hours each day in formal instruction in the areas of Math, Science, English, Computer Science, and a foreign language.
Bridge Program Offered to UB graduates as a transitional experience between high school and college. Participants are able to enroll in two courses offered by the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

The Upward Bound Program offers a Bridge Scholarship Program for those students who have graduated from high school and plan to attend Alabama State University in the earliest semester of graduation. The Bridge Program provides students with services and activities that aid in the transition from high school to college. The Upward Bound Program is offered at no expense to eligible participants.
