Brain skills program versus pace program

Cognitive skills are the processing or brain skills each person must have in place to learn well. Our students average over 3. After twenty years of offering the PACE program, we see that it is still the quickest way to make big processing skills changes. PACE would be a great choice if your child or student is having difficulty learning in one of the following ways:. Toggle navigation Menu. Do you know your child is capable of more?

Are their grades not a reflection of their potential? Do others wrongly assume your child is lazy or unmotivated? Have you tried traditional tutoring with limited success? Processing And Cognitive Enhancement PACE is a cognitive development program that has helped hundreds of thousands of people across the globe! The PACE program focuses on a myriad of major learning skills which include: attention, working memory, processing speed, logic and reasoning, auditory processing, visual processing, and long-term memory.

Leah Light and Amanda Jaijairam. A specified amount of training is required each week once the program begins. They can see their progression during the thirty-three different procedures that have been practiced and drilled over the course of the program.

This translates to academic improvement as well as advancements in their motor and social skills. Reading and reading comprehension are a struggle for many grade school children we evaluate. Being a good reader requires focused attention, fast processing speed, strong working memory, good logic and reasoning, and well developed auditory and visual processing skills.

All of these areas are addressed in the PACE program. There is a heavy emphasis on remediating auditory processing skills that are the prerequisites for reading fluency smooth reading. These procedures target auditory discrimination, auditory segmenting, auditory blending, and auditory analysis. The metronome is a crucial tool used during sessions. It imbeds learning, creates intensity, improves processing speed, develops attention, and pushes skills to become automatic.

The metronome can be set between 40 bpm to bpm. We gauge each client to determine the specific beats per minute used on the metronome during each activity. In PACE, we work to help clients overcome their unique challenges. We target needed areas shown on the Gibson Cognitive Test Battery pre-test and push through until each goal is achieved! We set several mini goals to build up self esteem! As mentioned, the Gibson Cognitive Test Battery is used for pre and post — testing so that we can track progress.

At the completion of the PACE program the Gibson test is performed a second time to show the measurable progression. Please spend a moment reviewing the progress made for clients who recently completed the PACE program with us! Results are indicated on the pages to follow. I am not sure where we would be if we had not travelled from Georgia to Fort Lauderdale, Florida to work with Dr.

Light and her team. It is a trip we have made 3 times 1 week each of intensive MNRI therapy for our son. MNRI works! It has been the key to unlocking our son. A year ago our son was in crisis. Now he is thriving. We have watched not only his speech blossom but also his personality, his creative play, and his sense of humor.

The best treatment my son could have. The results are impressive. A very dedicated team and interested in helping the whole family. The best support I could have had. I am so grateful to have had them as a team to help my son.

The best staff ever! Brainchild was a huge answer to prayer for us. Our 10 yo son who was 9 when he started therapy was struggling academically. He now has no pain and has made huge jumps academically. Sound booth work and MNRI therapy were exactly what our son needed. Thank you! It was an amazing experience. The staff was extremely helpful. They explain every technique of MNRI to the parents. It was our first experience with MNRI therapy and was fully satisfied with it.

Thank you to Dr Light and Brainchild institute members.
